Event Details

This Jumla Rara Ultra Marathon is a prime important and famous Ultra-Marathon in Nepal. The race will be held in 9-11 May 2025. The race starts from Jumla bazaar (2305m), and finishes at the Rara lake (2990m). The Jumla Rara Ultra Marathon, previously measured at 49 kilometers, has been updated to a distance of 51 kilometers starting from its 6th series. although it is uphill and downhill, the trail undulates and there are three steep uphill and downhill Danphe (3500m), Kavra cave, Bhulbhule (2950m), and Chuchemara (4017m). we believe this Jumla Rara Ultra Marathon will definitely help to boom adventure sports tourism in Karnali as well as it provides athletes by offering and creating national and international platforms to compete
यो जुम्ला रारा अल्ट्रा म्याराथन नेपालको एक प्रमुख र प्रसिद्ध अल्ट्रा-म्याराथन हो। यो दौड ९-११ मे २०२५ मा आयोजना हुनेछ। यो दौड जुम्ला बजार (२३०५ मिटर) बाट सुरु भएर रारा ताल (२९९० मिटर) मा समाप्त हुन्छ। पहिले ४९ किलोमिटर मापन गरिएको जुम्ला रारा अल्ट्रा म्याराथनलाई यसको छैटौं शृङ्खलाबाट ५१ किलोमिटरको दूरीमा अद्यावधिक गरिएको छ। यद्यपि यो उकालो र ओरालो छ, बाटो उथलपुथल छ र त्यहाँ तीनवटा ठाडो उकालो र ओरालो डाँफे (३५०० मिटर), काभ्रा गुफा, भुलभुले (२९५० मिटर), र चुचेमारा (४०१७ मिटर) छन्। हामीलाई विश्वास छ कि यो जुम्ला रारा अल्ट्रा म्याराथनले कर्णालीमा साहसिक खेल पर्यटनलाई बढावा दिन निश्चित रूपमा मद्दत गर्नेछ र यसले राष्ट्रिय र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न प्लेटफर्महरू प्रदान र सिर्जना गरेर खेलाडीहरूलाई प्रदान गर्नेछ।

Itinerary

• Day 1 - Kathmandu to Surkhet

  Get the bus from Gongobu Bus Park,Kathmandu.Departure to Surkhet .Normally Day buses and Night buses leaves from Kathmandu. Approx 13/15 hour’s drive to Surkhet from Kathmandu.

• Day 2 - Surkhet to Jumla

  Get the buses or Jeeps from Surkhet bus park to Jumla. Approx 8/10 hour’s drive to Jumla from Surkhet.

• Day 3 - Jumla

  Forms fill up, signing of Waiver forms and payment at Karnali Sports Club. Rest day and acclimatization.

• Day 4 - Jumla

  Rest day and acclimatization. Hike to Karnali Technical School (KTS) visit the Karnali Sports club Solar Mill at Barudkhana.

• Day 5 - Race Day

  Breakfast at Htl by 5:00 am Race starts at 6:00 am from Khalanga Bazaar.Lunch at Rara lake finishing line Dinner at Rara overnight at Rara

• Day 6 - Rara to Jumla

  Tea and breakfast,Prize distribution and closing ceremony Rafting and cross Rara Lake to Milichaur (Rafting charge paid by their own) Drive to Jumla on bus Dinner on the way to Jumla at Botamalika or Gothijyula.Arrive at Jumla.

• Day 7 - Jumla to Surkhet

  Leave for Surkhet. Buses or Jeeps from Jumla leaves early morning at around 5:30 am.

• Although we do not have travel packages specifically for the Jumla Rara Ultra race, there are various travel options available for your journey from Kathmandu.

I understand the inherent risks that taking part in an adventure sport would very likely subject me to and that unless I am medically fit and trained for the activity, I will not enter it. I will bear the total risk of taking part in this event and not limited to such risks as falls; contact with other participants, spectators, animals, or inanimate objects; exposure to the effects of weather and trail conditions-all known risks and acknowledged by me. Knowing these facts and accepting the acceptance of my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, government, administrators, anyone I act as guardian over or anyone else who may claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge Karnali Sports Club, Race officials, workers, sponsors and the volunteers of this event into their agent, employees, assigns, or any person acting on their behalf from any and all claims or liability for death, personal injury, property damage or property loss of any undetermined form whatsoever, as well as any risk which may derive from negligence or carelessness on the part of the person or entity being released, during my participation through this and all such other events organized in future by the Karnali Sports Club. I am at least 18 years old and my parents/guardian(if under 18) have read and consented regarding the abovementioned provisions to my participation. Organizers thus hold the right to make any last-minute changes to the race route even during the race because of adverse weather conditions such as dense fog or thunderstorms to eliminate potential hazards or difficulties that might arise for participants. Participants shall be informed about the changes. Organizers, however, reserve the right to suspend or cancel the race should prevailing weather conditions present a risk to the athletes or staff or medical teams. Events may be canceled at the discretion of Karnali Sports Club for a variety of reasons, including inclement weather, a lack of registrations, team emergencies, etc. If the organizer is notified 72 hours prior to the race day, all payments are non-refundable but may be applied to the following race. Photos and videos taken at this event may be used by Karnali Sports Club.
